Dress that sings.. the continuing saga. Hey, at least she is creative.

I asked the vendor on etsy. Why her dress is so low. Why she is selling a copy of a 24000.00 dress. This is her response:

Hi Jolene,

This is the promotional price since we are so new to etsy. The suggested price was $3500 tax shipping and handling, depending on where the destination is. You are lucky and you won a lottery ticket. The price will come back to original at $3500 without notice.

Now , it makes me wonder what the shipping is? 950.00? Next thing is I will win the lottery in Zambia and they need my checking account info. UUGGHH.

Uh yeah. I'm not on board with that sales pitch. Did you ever get her to show you photos of the dress that she herself has made, not the original that costs $24,500?

Honestly....sorry, but this is becoming tiresome. Did you read my comment on your last (third out of four in the past 24 hours) posts about this same topic? Because I said pretty much exactly what she just confirmed. She's new to etsy. TONS of people and businesses sell knockoffs of expensive dresses, so I'm not sure if you're just singling her out because she's the one who almost duped you, but you can stop making fun of her now. Buy the dress from her or don't.

I'd say you can find a dress that would look just as beautiful on you as the other one would have; granted not the same dress, but it would save you hassle and stress; maybe if you ordered it it wouldn't be right anyways. good luck on your search!

I would just drop it. Like I said previously, it's an elaborate dress and that price and her new store bring up red flags....

Also, you don't need to make new threads with updates. Just reply in the original and it'll bring it to the top.

I also agree with Rosie. I hope you find a dress you like! BTW, I just realized you are Jolene (different account - https://www.weddingwire.com/wedding-forums/dress-that-sings-part-iii-im-italian-dont-get-mad/e2f5b1e21c249a17.html) Why do you have two accounts? Just curious...
