Dress advice please!

Future Mrs. Y, on February 20, 2015 at 12:14 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11

Hi! I am planning on having a country/rustic wedding and ever since I started planning I have known I wanted to wear cowgirl boots with my dress! I however found a dress I fell in love with and ordered but I don't know if it will really go with boots! You won't really see them since the dress is floor length but I still want them to look ok with the dress for pictures and stuff. I almost worry the dress is to "blingy" for boots! I have attached a picture! Please let me know what you think and before I get any weird comments the dress shown is the sample dress since I am still waiting for mine to come in so it doesn't fit perfect. Do you guys think that boots would look ok or no?

I think boots would look amazing with that dress. It's just enough sparkle, but not too much to overwhelm boots! Great job picking that out, it's gorgeous!

That will go beautifly with boots. My sister had a gorgeous fluffy princess-y dress and wore boots and looked stunning! All the bridesmaids wore boots too, made for some great pictures (:

I think it would probably be fine if the rest of your wedding is country themed, your dress looks country chic and elegant but the color and the lace makes it have that nice appeal. Very pretty dress. Like you said the dress will be floor length so you won't see the boots in less you specifically want to in pictures.

OMG! I am NOT having a country themed wedding but almost bought cowboy boots to wear anyways just because I love them so much. lol. YOUR DRESS IS PERFECT FOR BOOTS! Please do it and post pictures when you have them in! The lace of the dress is a perfect match for boots. Hope I helped! Smiley smile

Of course not! I live in the Chicagoland suburbs so I got it from Eva's Bridal in oak lawn. I can tell you though if their isn't an Eva's bridal near you it's a David Tutera mon Cherie gown!

I think your dress is beautiful, and if it's a matter of not wearing it because of the boots then don't do the boots. but like you said, the dress is long and unless you are showing someone, I don't think it's going to matter.

I wore my running shoes the entire evening of my wedding day and nobody had any idea Smiley smile

do you have a picture of the boots? will you be getting new ones? if you're getting new ones, just pick out ones to go with the dress-

Ijust won't worry about it either way Smiley smile

Your dress looks stunning! I adore it, great choice! I personally would not wear boots with the dress, but if it's a rustic barn wedding theme boots would be amazing!
