Does Wedding Wire remove posts if a vendor asks?

getmyjenon, on August 3, 2009 at 2:36 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 10

I made a post about my photographer and I think it's gone. Does Wedding Wire ever delete posts?

I think they will if it is defamatory or in dispute - same thing goes for reviews. If after investigation the review proves true they will reinstate it. I'm not sure about forum posts, though.

If you only made one post talking about your photographer and how good they were, brides will report it as advertising since it looks like a vendor pretending to be a bride. This could have been the case.

Nope, it was actually a negative review of the vendor, but i thought it was fair. i'm wondering if my vendor didn't think so.

If that is the case then most likely. They tend to leave vendor reviews for the vendor pages themselves and they give the vendors a chance to give their side of the story. Sucks I know but thats how they work it. I have heard from several people here though that they feel WW is more likely to side with the vendor unless it is real bad or very obviously caused by the vendor.

Well, since it was posted on a forum, rather than in the review format, its probablyl gone. Post it as a review and it will get a fair hearing. And no, it is not slanted toward the vendors- there are plenty of awful reviews out there. It is the unsupported facts and whining that get poor reviews pulled. So do us all a favor, since we ALL want to know who is recommendable and who isn't, give a factual and thoughful review, no character assasinations or ranting - that will get a review pulled in no time flat.

I think WeddingWire is fair to BOTH sides: vendors as well as brides. They understand there are TWO SIDES to a story, and make sure to get both sides. I agree: if it was a legitimate complaint, post it as a review so everybody can see!

Thank you SquawkboxSound, WeddingWire certainly maintains a fair review platform and consider both vendors and brides complaints.

getmyjenon, there are no vendor reviews associated with your WeddingWire account. Please contact our support team for assistance via email at support@weddingwire.com.

    Thanks!

Wedding Wire is very fair! The vendor may dispute it, but they'd have to prove that you had lied in your review, which would be difficult to do. Both positive and negative reviews are so important. It lets the vendor know what to improve, so don't be shy!
