Does anyone hear of farmstogo.com??

I have ordered roses and greenery from Farms to Go several times for banquets and have been more than pleased. Best roses I have ever used. For upcoming wedding, we are using all white roses and varigated pittosporum. At these prices, two dozen on each table. Just be sure you follow the instructions when the flowers arrive. For roses I like to get them three days in advance so they open up for bigger display. I am sorry for my friends that own flower shops. I used to work as a florist and still love to dabble--now a lawyer.

Post wedding report: Farms to Go was fabulous. Called me to discuss colors. Quality was A . Centerpieces were stunning and even in outdoor setting, people commented that they got a hint of roses as the entered the patio. Will upload a few pics when available.

We were on a tight budget, so I chose to do DIY flowers. After looking at many online flower wholesalers, I chose to use Farmstogo.com and was Cont.

Very happy. I used all sunflowers in my centerpieces and bouquets. I ordered about 200 sunflowers for $200 including overnight shipping (straight from the farm in Columbia). Everything arrived healthy and packed well. The various sizes were as they described (I had contacted customer service to clarify what SM, MED, LG really meant). Our bouquets and centerpieces were simple designs, so it was easy to DIY and everything came out perfect.

I do not recommend this company at all. I received dead flowers just in time for my wedding and it ruined my day and they refused to credit my account. Please support your local farmers market instead. I am currently contesting the charge on my credit card at the moment.

Flowers for the bouquets, corsages, boutonniers, and some filler for the centerpieces were ordered from Farmstogo.com. I ordered a sample pack of roses months earlier to get a feel for the quality and colors and do a trial run.

Ordered Roses in pink and orange (100 each), green yoko ono spray mums (88 stem) and pink limonium (60 stem). The rose color was not the same as the ones I received in the sample pack a few months earlier even though I ordered the exact same thing, but the quality was actually better. The pink was a shade darker and the orange was a bit more 'salmon-y' than I would have liked. They still worked great and had bigger, more nicely formed buds than the ones in the sample pack. Spent just over $250. on these flowers.

Flowers arrived on Thursday morning for Saturday nights event, just as scheduled. The rose buds were wrapped tightly in a spiral of heavy plastic and packed 25 to a bunch with ice packs. Many packages of flower food were included.

I spent about 3 hours removing thorns and lower greenery from the roses and cutting the stems under water on all of the flowers. There were a LOT of thorns. I put them in buckets of water with flower food in the bathtub, away from natural light and air vents. Initially I left on the plastic protecting the rose buds while I worked with them. I removed it to let them start opening after they were in the buckets of water and plant food. Later on Thursday afternoon I removed a lot of the 'guard' petals on the roses to allow them to open further

On Friday my sister arrived about noon and after loading all the wedding "stuff" into her truck and delivering it to the venue, we went to Sam's for snacks and bouquets of flowers for the centerpieces. Bought an assortment of flowers concentrating on pink and orange blooms, including, gerbera daisy, star-gazer lilies, assorted mums and just anything else in the color pallet we were working on. Spent about $100. Dropped all that at home and

Went to Tom Thumb and picked up some more miscellaneous centerpiece flowers and some REALLY nice Gladiolas in bright pink for the alter. (the whole bunch of gladiolas was only $4.99-enough for a simple but pretty alter embellishment). Spent another $20 at Tom Thumb.

I don't recommend them.
