DIY Ribbon Wands

Michelle, on October 2, 2011 at 9:07 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 13

Started this project tonight! Thank god I have another week and a half to finish these! They are fun, but take some time...

I'm thinking of either putting them on the table where I have my guest book frame or putting one at every place setting so when we walk into the reception, people can use them. Or... have them on each seat during the ceremony and people can use them when the ceremony is done... thoughts?

The lighting might be a bit bad, photo taken with my phone. Will take another in the daylight.

Those are so cute. Great job. I would have them set out for the ceremony. It will give your guest more time to use them, since you worked so hard on them.

They look great!! Did you get the sticks in bulk online? I am thinking of doing the same exact thing. I think you should have someone put them on each seat.

I have never seen them, too clever!! If you get a second, is there a link on the directions on how to do them?

Thanks all! I actually bought the sticks at AJ Moore, they come 40 to a pack under 3.00 and the bells are under $3 for 20 and keep an eye out for ribbon on sale at any craft store!

Here's a link to one type:

I glued the tips of three of the ribbons and wrapped them around the sticks and then tied the bell with light blue ribbon at the top and secured it with a little more glue.

Thanks for the advice, I will put them on the chairs for the ceremony!

You should have them on the chairs at the reception and have the DJ or MC announce for people to use them when you make your grand entrance....or anytime they want you to kissSmiley smile I wouldnt have them at the ceremony - all eyes should be on you and they might get too distracting. Can you imagine if your FG couldnt see you coming down the isle because of the sea of ribbons!!??

Just a thoughtSmiley smile Very cute idea - if you are having any kids at the wedding they will love them!

We are having my FH escort people to their seats and they're giving the guests our wands and programs as they seat them.

Where did you find the bells for that price? I am doing the same exact thing & the bells I have seen are way over priced & that is an excellent deal! Yours look great by the way...can't wait to start mine :-/

I am making those too but adding bells. they will be passed out after the ceremony instead of bubbles or bird seed. Waiting for the supplies in the mail, excited!
