Directions card included with invitations

FutureMrs.M, on July 24, 2015 at 10:06 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 7

How many people are including a card with directions in their invitations?

If you are, are you providing directions to the church and also from the church to the reception? Or, separate directions to the reception for those who won't make it to the church?

I'm thinking it's something you have to do/include, but wondering how many people will use the directions card over their own GPS these days. ;-)

I work at an invite shop and have only seen one bride do a direction card but it think she is having a very luxurious wedding so she wanted a full invite sweet. If it were me, I would gps.

I didn't include one, figured ppl would google or use a gps. Plus our wedding website has directions.

We had shuttle buses for most of our out of town guests. People with cars had to rely on GPS. It's a nice add-on, if you can afford it, but most people these days can find their way. We had 90% of our guests come from out of town and everyone figured it out one way or another.

I would only include directions if your venues are difficult to find (like a dirt road or something) or just from ceremony to reception. As you said, most people have some sort of gps these days.

I am doing a directions card if I can get them in white (my venue will give them to me for free, I will only use them if they are white). If I couldn't get them, I wouldn't bother, most people will use gps.

I did them for those who do not google or gps or go to the wedding website where a wonderful map sits there waiting to be used.

I got them for free from my venue (ceremony and reception), so I gave them to people who don't have GPS or Google.
