Delayed honeymoon?

Futuremrsc, on April 19, 2017 at 11:09 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 105

Wondering who all is not going on their honeymoon right after the wedding? FH and I are thinking about staying at a nice hotel that night and then waiting for our 1st year anniversary to go on a real honeymoon so we can have more time to save and go somewhere amazing, anyone else doing something like this?

We are planning to possibly do a mini-moon sometime after the wedding (somewhere closer to home), but saving the honeymoon for the 1 year anniversary.

We are planning to do our honeymoon later because we are both students and our wedding will be in the middle of the semester so we are planning to hopefully go away for a few days between terms.

Since we are doing a destination wedding, we are staying there the week after the wedding for a "honeymoon" but we are planning our REAL honeymoon/1st anniversary trip to Italy.

Lots of people I see post here are delaying.

Due to scheduling, we're not leaving for our honeymoon until September. I like it that way. Gives us some breathing room, we're not going during expensive summer season, and there's so much stress of wedding planning, I'm glad we have 2 1/2 months to just plan our trip.

We aren't going on a honeymoon right away either. We felt the same about going away a few days, close to home, but nothing big or crazy. That wasn't in our budget to plan a big trip.

We are hoping to save and go early next year.

Our wedding is in September and we aren't going on our honeymoon until Februaryish because we want to go to New Zealand when it's actually summer! September is still spring for them over there and the locals have told me it's still too cold for swimming Smiley smile

We are also waiting. We have two kids and with school starting so soon after our wedding, it just seems a little overwhelming.

We're getting married in September and will go on our honeymoon in December since my fiance is in school and will be on winter break then. I really want to book it now though! We're waiting to book until after the wedding so we can budget a little better.

I'm a teacher, and it's just easier to not worry about scheduling off during the school year, especially so close to the end. So we're taking ours in July.

FH and I were hoping to go right away, but due to some complications with him getting some of his credits finished before next summer, he may have to take a class or two during the fall 2018 semester which would have to push it back. We won't know until later this year, unfortunately...

We are doing a 3 day mini moon right after and then a two week Megamoon in September to Europe.

We are doing a minimoon a few weeks after and then going on a trip to europe about 6 months later as we want to go at the beginning of the season rather than the end.

FH & I are having a DW in Jamaica so we've decided to wait a bit to decide if we're going to honeymoon or save our money for a rainy day.

We were going to honeymoon right away but then I lost my job, which was funding the honeymoon savings. So now we're postponing, maybe until fall but possibly an entire year depending on finances. We will do a mini moon the week after the wedding to places nearby, but our Disney honeymoon has to wait now.
