Country flower girl

Ashley, on January 28, 2018 at 3:56 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 6
We are having a simple country wedding in the back yard. We’re not following many traditional details for the wedding. What are some alternatives for flower petals for the flower girl to throw? I don’t want her to carry a sign or anything, I want her to throw something, just not petals. Any suggestions?

Seeds, dried flowers, leaves, fresh flower heads, feathers, lavender, cones, paper hearts.

she could also hand out daisies to the women in the aisle seats

Both times I was a flower girl in weddings (circa 1988 and 1993) I just had a little basket of flowers (little rosettes) that I carried but didn’t throw.

Wildflower seeds might be a nice thing to toss, or birdseed for wild birds local to your area :3

Since its outside I would definitely pick something nature friendly, seeds, pinecones, leaves, bird seed, twigs, grass clippings, pebbles, wood chips. That way you don't have to worry about clean up.
