Cant pick my colors

First, look around your venue. What colours are already there? Is there a featured colour your really like? Is there anything you really like that would go well with those colours? What shades of green are already in the space or what shade of green would look best with the colours there?

For us, the walls of our hall are painted a gorgeous shade of teal. Colour 1. I love sunflowers, daffodils and yellow tulips, and want them all in our flowers. Colour 2. FH wants to wear a light grey suit. Colour 3, and that's our scheme.

I know you said pinterest isn't getting you far but that's how I found my colors. I knew I wanted plum because I think it's a great end of summer/early fall color and I started looking on pinterest. I fell in love with a picture that had plum and burnt orange and we decided on that.

Just start with a color that you like/think goes well with the season and work from that.

I'm going with Sage Green and Neutrals! The girls are all wearing nudes/neutrals/metallics!

Ours are navy blue, gray and ivory. I didn't want to pick something that FH wouldn't like, so that eliminated green, red, purple and pink. I'm not a fan of any other colors, so those were eliminated as well. We both like blue and it's a winter wedding, so I figured it should be dark blue. I wanted something classic and timeless, so I picked navy. Almost picked light, light pink, but again, didn't want to pick a color FH wouldn't like. So I picked gray. Ivory is just there because my dress is ivory and so are the linens and I'm trying to use hints of it when possible in the decorations.

My colors came easily bc I am having a NYE wedding and certain colors just made sense. But I have heard on here that a lot of girls will go to home depot with their FH, pick out paint swatches that appeal to them, and go from there!
