Can't find the right Dj-price?

Natalia, on December 20, 2016 at 10:54 AM Posted in Planning 0 25

So I'm getting married fairly soon and I still cannot find a dj. We saw one that we liked but he was $2500 for 6hrs (including some party favors) that sounds like a lot...no? What are prices people paid

It depends on your location. I am in north NJ, and my preferred DJ's are **** (they don't do the party favor thing.....).

I'm in the Los Angeles area and paid $4,000 for ours (8 hours). It's definitely pricey but I wanted to hire someone that will keep the party going.

I'm paying $700 for ceremony and reception. That is the most basic package. The one guy I really really liked and would have made it a party, wanted to charge me $3000. I couldn't justify that amount, plus food for him, plus tip, but I wish I had the money because he was awesome. He would have sang at my ceremony. :/

The price will vary a lot by your local market, quality of the vendor, hours of coverage, and services provided!

You're in Queens/Brooklyn? Yep, sounds about right. My DJ is $2300 - that's his most expensive package though. If you really like the DJ you found, skip the favors - they're not necessary. Maybe that will bring the cost down.

My DJ is Spynfo if you want to look him up. BTL DJs were another amazing company we met with. Friends of ours used him, and they said he was fantastic. His packages started at $1400.

I'm in NYC and we're paying $2k. The company we chose has DJs who charge less, but we really liked the particular person we hired.

I am blessed with a friend that will dj. He doesn't have to keep the party going just the music. We are having a mid day in the park wedding. I am thinking that if people want to party have an after party at a bar near by but most invites are past the drinking crazy party stage and will be happy to just relax in there rooms at the hotel.
