Bridal Party Attire

I am having a hard time deciding the groom and groomsmen attire. My bridesmaids are wearing dark navy long chiffon dresses. My fiance wants to wear his black tux and have the groomsmen in a gray (slightly on the darker scale, not charcoal) tux. They would all wear black shoes and black ties and no vest to try to make their outfits a little less formal. Do you think that will clash? I've been looking around and I think I like it, but just can't decide. Someone then said that the groomsmen could wear navy ties and brown shoes, and have the groom in all black, but I think it would look better if they coordinated. What do you think? Any advise is appreciated.

First of all, the groomsmen are not in the bridal party. They are the groom's party and part of the wedding party.

Navy, grey and black are all neutral colors, so they can't clash. For a cohesive look I would have them all in black shoes.

So just the three colors : blue black and gray? I think that sounds beautiful no clashing! I would not go with brown black and grey though, too many base colors

This isn't your problem. Let your FH decide. GM are his domain. You can make suggestions but this is his area.

That's actually exactly what one of my BMs had her wedding party do and hers was a very elegant affair - no clashing!

My BMs are also wearing navy and when we went, FH chose charcoal gray tuxes for himself and all the GM. They'll have gray vests and a navy tie (my bridesman will have the same except he'll wear a navy bowtie). For himself, FH chose a white best and tie. I didn't love the idea of it, but when I saw it on him, I loved it. Have him try on the different options and you'll both know exactly what you want

The initial black/gray plan sounds nice! I wouldn't mix navy and brown into it though.
