Good morning ladies. So my task this morning is a honeymoom budget and deciding on where and when to take one. We are getting married next November the weekend before Thanksgiving. FH birthday is December after Christmas and it is a milestone birthday so I want to take our honeymoon over Christmas. Has anyone else did a Christmas honeymoon? Where did you go? My FH likes to gamble so my first thought is Biloxi, Ms. It's only a few hrs away and has lots of casinos and other activities for us to participate in. What are your thoughts has anyone honeymooned in Biloxi, how was it?

Hi Kayla! I've never taken a Christmas honeymoon, but I've taken plenty of vacations during that time! My family is really into the beach so we've gone to all over Florida and Mexico during the holidays and it's not too expensive! I've heard great things about both Biloxi and New Orleans if you are looking for a fun place to gamble and relax! Are you wanting a destination where you can drive to it?

Hey Kelly thanks for the reassurance! Yes I definitely want a destination honeymoon. However my FH is terrified of both planes and boats so I want somewhere within a 4-6 hr road trip, anything longer than that and we are ready to kick the other out the car lol. We love in South Georgia and we are getting married in a city right outside of our town so it's a 30 minute drive from our house to the venue and I want somewhere neither of us have been!

Honestly, Biloxi isn't that great. I wouldn't recommend it for any vacation, let alone a honeymoon. Another two hours and you make it to New Orleans, which is much better.

Lol I totally get it, I hate being in the car longer than 4 hours!! Have you all been to New Orleans? It's so much fun and also has casinos! Another location that I think would be awesome is Tampa, FL! Both of these shouldn't be longer than 6 hours from South Georgia!

Thank you for the opinion! I'm still searching so maybe I will lean more to looking at New Orleans.
