BAM - A few months late

The general "theme" was maps - because I came from abroad and have moved around quite a bit, and so do my BMs.

DH and the GMs had cufflinks with a map of their hometown (same for all of them). BMs had a bracelet with a cabochon of their hometown, and I wore a bracelet with maps of my hometown, my "adoptive" Canadian city, the place where DH proposed and our current city. Our centrepieces included kusudama flowers made of old maps.

Also, my "old" and "borrowed" were two old handkerchiefs I borrowed from my mom and dad. I held them wrapped around my bouquet during the ceremony.

Here are DH and I with our sides of the BP. We were on opposite sides of the Legislative building in Winnipeg, so that DH wouldn't see me, lol.

Our colour was royal blue, with silver accents, but my BMs chose their own dress styles.

Another pic of my BP, each holding a flag of their home countries. I was so nervous the morning-of, that I forgot my beautiful Mexican flag in the hotel. My father's friends gave me a LOT of flack for having this pic taken without my flag, lol.

VC, I never knew about all the details! I still love the blues in everything.

Some of you may know that my dad had an emergency surgery a few months before the wedding, and is now homebound, so he wasn't able to attend the wedding. My mom chose to stay home with him. We skyped them into the ceremony - the first pic is all of us seeing each other for the first time that day (cue ugly crying!).

Thanks to skype and a pretty good wi-fi reception, our officiant could ask them who gave me away (second pic).

These two pics are for all of you who are stressing out about the weather. Our weather forecast changed about 10 times in the 3 weeks prior to the wedding, and ended up being STORMS on our wedding day. It stormed pretty bad the morning-of, but we had no rain during the ceremony. This is how the Manitoban stormy sky looks like.

I love the theme and everything is gorgeous! Congrats!

I like the first pic because clearly I can't ever act serious, even on my wedding day. The second one has our bridal party. This is the first time I realize one of my BMs (on the far left) is doing a duck face, lol.
