After a rocky start (being super sick and missing our first flight- thankyouverymuch travel agent) we enjoyed every minute of a 7 night stay in Mexico. The weather was steamy hot- and we literally sweated through every inside meal- BUT the food?! AHHHmazing. Literally. Everything we tried was superb.
The carribean is apparently having a bit of a seaweed issue- and there were literally 10-12 men dedicated to picking up sea weed every single day. It was a thankless job that definitely didn't go unnoticed by us. We tipped them when we left- can't imagine how monotonous that can be day in and day out.
We did an excursion on Friday- took a catamaran out to Maroma and snorkeled. I was nervous at first- being in open water- but once i got used to it... it was seriously such a cool experience. We saw stingrays and starfish and a TON of tropical fish. The downside? I got sea weed stuck in my hair... holy knots. It was not fun brushing that shit out.
