Anyone write their own wedding vows!

That’s awesome that you wrote your own vows. We have decided to write our own vows in addition to the traditional vows. I’m excited to recite them to one another.

Me and my FH are writing our own vows. It was so easy for me to write them and i prefer more personable vows vs the traditional vows. So excited to read them to him on our big day! Also, we are getting our vows typed up and framed for memories!

FH an I are writing our own vows I feel it is more personal to say how you feel for each other.

We are writing our own vows too. I haven't even began to think about what I will say, but super excited to exchange them in front of our loved ones!

We (mostly I with the help of pinterest) put together our own vows, our statement of intent (saying I do/I will) and then our ring exchange. We didn't write them separately but did just the repeat after me style. It was great to have our own style compared to traditional ones but it wasn't as nerve racking as writing our own vows could have been.

I loved how they turned out! Even though I'm sure there are people that used similar ones they worked great to us. Also I don't think Husband could of handled writing his own since he was stumbling over his emotions on the repeat after me ones.

I wrote my wedding vows and I’m practicing every day till the day of our wedding .I’m going to be crying I’m gonna be nervous but I got so much to tell my fiancé I am so in love with him I can’t wait 😊 Plus I can’t wait to hear his.

How sweet! I feel the same way as you, FH and I are writing our own vows. I'm extremely sentimental and I can write pretty easily. So since earlier this year, whenever something comes to my head, I write it down and date it. Then by the time it comes for me to officially write down my vows in our vow books, I'll have plenty of things to choose to write! It'll be hard to keep it to only a couple minutes long because I have so much to say to him! I know for a fact there won't be a dry eye in the room when I read mine so I'll include funny things to make him laugh. I'm so excited to hear what he'll say! He doesn't write and come up with things as easy as I do but I'm very happy he agreed to write his vows despite this

We're writing our vows too and I am very excited about giving my promise to my FH. I already finished writing them.

i was so happy my fiancé agrees to writing our own vows! He’s not a writer like me to but one thing we both know is regardless of how short or lengthy our vows may be it will be from the heart! I threw a couple of funny moments in my vows to him also! I love making him laugh! I ordered a beautiful vow book off Etsy and couldn’t wait to write my vows in it and he actually has a matching vow book!

Yes it was! To me, that was the single most important detail that I wanted to have perfected for our wedding day since that for sure will carry into our marriage. It was easy yet rather difficult to write things down because there's so much I want to say, but it had to be condensed lol. No one wants to hear a bride talk for 10 minutes lol jk jk

o yeah I agree with you. I had one of my friends reach out to me who told me she was at a wedding and their vows went on forever!! She said please don’t do that! It was too funny! Our big day is December 22. I mean literally right around the corner!!!!
