Anyone planning something special for your groom/bride?

Samantha, on February 10, 2019 at 4:32 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

I recently decided I want to surprise my fiance with something special the week of our wedding just for him. Anyone else doing anything like this? Or incorporating something uniquely for your SO as a surprise into the wedding??

I am setting up a special 'meet and greet' with otters (his absolute favorite!) at the local zoo a few days before the wedding.

A VIP otter experience at the zoo before the wedding, setting up some snacks for his getting ready and a grooms cake, and the last surprise is walking down the aisle to a song by his favorite singer.

Just want to say I love otters! They are so cute, like water dogs! I would love that. My FH insists I dont spend any money on him so Im not sure if I will do anything specific, but I have made a bicycle wheel flower wreath as he is a huge cyclist which is going to be a part of our decorations.

A meet & greet with otters!? That’s so cute! Can I marry you? Haha!

My FH and I are both really into the videogame franchise Fallout. So I’m making him a Fallout themed groom’s kit. Things like mints, Advil, mini bottles of whiskey, some cola, etc. But they’ll all be Fallout themed. And I’m putting them in a custom Fallout lunchbox which is a common find in the game and they are usually filled with helpful things.

My fiance's birthday is 3 days before our wedding so we'll both be taking off from work starting then. I'll probably incorporate any surprises into his birthday gift. I'm not sure exactly what I want to do yet.

That sounds really sweet! But no we are not doing anything special. We had discussed with all the gifts that we have to give to bridal party and the parents that we would leave ourselves out of the gifts. I don't think I'll surprise him with anything only because taking a honeymoon would be special for us. We haven't gone on a vacation just the two of us ever really, which is weird for how long we've been together. But he's not a traveling type of person so it'll really be out of our element!

How cute is that! My fiance loves otters too hahahaha!

I'm thinking either the Thursday before the wedding or weekend before, I'll pay for him & his best man to go to a spa for man facials & pedicures & manicures!

    That is so cute!

Definitely not as exciting as yours, but I surprised my husband with a photo charm of his parents for his boutonniere. They passed away quite a while ago, so he was really touched that I thought of that for him.
