And the results are in...

KellySD, on August 12, 2015 at 2:24 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 9

Today marks exactly one month from my wedding (!!!) and our RSVP deadline. I know a lot of people have asked about typical numbers as far as RSVPs vs. # invited, so I thought I'd share. The mail just came, so here are the numbers as of today, the deadline to RSVP:

191 Invited

86 Accepted

36 Declined

69 No Response

We know that some are in the mail, but this seems ridiculous! I hope that the rest of you waiting on RSVPs are having better luck. Let the phone calls begin......

Congrats and getting close! Hoepfully those 69s aren't all individuals and there's a few families or plus ones in there

You're so close!!!! Are you giving it another day or two for RSVPs to come in or are you starting your calls today?

Wow seems like a high no response rate.

I have 3 weeks left for my rsvp's. Right now almost half have responded, 31 yes and 7no. Guest list is 78 people.

Congrats on being so close! This is good info to have. I've got 37 of 178 so far. Let us know your final numbers Smiley smile

Thanks everyone! I can't believe it's so close! Ahh! There are definitely some couples and families in there but a lot of individuals, too. We're definitely going to wait until the mail comes tomorrow to start making phone calls. A few people have told us that their RSVPs are in the mail so hopefully they'll be here soon. I honestly thought that my family/friends would be really good about getting them in on time. How silly of me! Smiley winking I'll definitely keep you all posted!

Giver it about 4 to five days before calling, some people assume that the RSVP deadline date equals the last day they can place the RSVP in the mailbox.

Congrats on being a month away from your wedding date!

It is annoying! I'm so impatient I just want to know! Plus our venue meeting is on Saturday and I want to be able to give them numbers even though they're not due for another couple of weeks. We texted a few close family members just to make sure they even got the invitation since we haven't heard anything from them about it, and a few said they lost the RSVP card. I just wish they would have told me sooner! Honestly, all I need is a text that says "yes we're coming and here's which meals we want!" haha

VMD it's so true! They can be the worst ones! We haven't even received one from my own sister and MOH yet and she is the most organized person I know.
