All inclusive or DIY??

Kiley, on August 8, 2017 at 9:17 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 10

Hello Everyone!

I am looking for some advice/guidance..

Budget wise is it a better deal to go with an all-inclusive venue or one you can DIY? We are planning for around 100 guests at our wedding. The all-inclusive venue we are looking at is quoting us approximately $10,000. The only things we have to provide is florist, alcohol, and photography. Will I be able to pull together something similar for less money? Or should I just go with the all-inclusive?

Thank you for your input in advance!

    Pricing depends on where you are located/having the wedding. But $10K just for venue and catering is great anywhere. Those two eat up the majority of your budget. By all inclusive, what does it include? Because as DIY goes, you should only DIY decor (including non-floral centerpieces should you decide that route) not the big stuff like catering, entertainment, outfits, etc.

    The only reason why I say to go all inclusive is because it's less vendors to deal with. Depending on how you handle stress, the least amount of chefs in the kitchen the better. Plus believe it or not, all inclusive is usually cheaper.

    @Yoomie

    The venue that is all-inclusive, they provide catering, decor, cakes, centerpieces, the only things I would have to pay for would be flowers, alcohol, clothing, and photography.

    All-inclusive is generally more affordable...and will save your sanity, too! Smiley winking

    I say go with the all inclusive. The price sounds pretty good for 100 guests.

    I would jump at an all inclusive for that price for that many guests... That would be such a stress relief!

    I would do the all inclusive. I've actually chosen one for next year and it is so much easier and stress free. My brother and sister both did DIY and my sister's ended up costing more than mine is going to and my brother's wife got so overwhelmed and it caused a lot of issues among everyone. Haha sooo definitely all inclusive because of money, stress, and you are still able to put your own touches or certain things

    All inclusive definitely. Mine is $16k for 125 guests and includes alcohol. I'm happy with it. You end up having more than just flowers, attire, photography, and alcohol to worry about so if you can save yourself a few less vendors, it's totally worth it.

    I am doing an all inclusive venue as well. Ours will be 10,900 for 100 guest and that includes everything except DJ, photographers, hair and make up and florist. It even includes our hotel stay at the resort, cake, and full open bar! I found that listing all the pricing out per person helped to compare the actual pricing and that's how we picked.
