All-in-one Invites

Sara, on October 5, 2018 at 9:50 AM Posted in Planning 0 14

Has anyone used all-in-one invites?

If you're not sure what this is, it's basically where the RSVP card and invite are all in one and you just rip off the RSVP from the invite.

We feel this will save us money as far as ordering RSVP cards and invites separately.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Yes, yes, yes, we did! I love them, I feel like it saved so much money, they look so clean and nice, and also not killing trees with extra envelopes! We ordered them from Minted, they came perfect, and we send them out in a few weeks! I love that they still look classical and elegant with a modern design twist. I'll post photos below of the proof and then the actual product.

Sorry for the dark night time cell phone quality. They definitely look and feel better in person, and I love that the addresses were already printed so all I have to do is stamp them and send them off!

If you find one you like & it fits your budget, go for it! I don't see an issue with them.

Hi Sarah! I agree with everyone above, I don't see anything wrong with doing this! Smiley smile Personally, I have never seen these in person, but I doubt your guests would mind! As long as they fit in an envelope and can be mailed, I think you should go for it! Did you have a style in mind for your invitations?

They don't go into an envelope, at least not the ones from Minted! They literally fold up and you use a sticker to close it up. The stamps and addresses are on the back on the invite so it folds into itself. It saves a TON of wasted paper that goes in the trash, this is only 1 piece of nice thick paper, folded and mailed!

Wow, that is such a cool idea! I didn't even realize that this was a thing! And you're right-- they save tons of paper and waste! Thanks for sharing and clarifying! Smiley smile

I haven't ordered mine yet, but I'm planning on going with the all in ones from minted too. They are sooooo much cheaper. My friend ordered some for her recent wedding and she said they were super easy to put together and they were cute too. I know through minted you can order some free samples if you want a physical copy before you decide.

Yup! All you do is upload your guest list with names and addresses, Minted will even "correct" the address for you to make it easy! When they arrive literally all you have to do is stamp them, fold them, and mail them! You can go onto Minted and order 10 free samples to see different designs and styles you like before ordering!

I heard one person in a different thread say they didnt fold well (like they didnt lay super flat, but kinda bubbled if that makes sense) so the post office told her she either needed to sticker the sides down or pay extra postage. Did you run into this at all? I'm also considering these so I'm curious!

Also does it allow you to still add postage to the RSVP return? Like is that part on the inside?

When we received ours in the mail from Minted there were enough stickers with instructions to put one on each side and then on the back to close it. So maybe that's new that they added more stickers? But they are clear and not very noticeable so it's still a clean look. I haven't put mine together yet with the stickers but if I ran into that problems I'm sure putting them under a heavy book for an hour will close them up, but I did a test run with a blank and it closed fine.

And yes, the RSVP card is like any other post card so it does have a spot for the stamp on it! If you go look at them on Minted there is an animated video that plays when you click a design that show you how they are folded and everything.
