1 Dress Fitting?

I have not heard of someone just doing one, but I suppose it is certainly possible if you aren't having much done to it. I think it is much more common to have three or four over the course of a few (usually about 3) months.

I had two, well I guess technically three. The first was to take the dress in because it was too big. The second was for the hemming (which I wound up not needing), to adjust anything else in the stomach/straps and for the bustle. I go back tomorrow to try the dress on and make sure that everything fits and to teach my MOH how to do the bustle, I'll take it home when I leave.

I'm sure I'll do a couple but they scheduled my first one about a month before the wedding. I'll probably have to go in once a week. HaHa!

My bridal store scheduled 3 for me. They said depending if alot of changes have to be made there will be a fourth one. My fittings start in May for my June wedding

I'm having quite a bit done to my dress, but they said it will only take one fitting.

I feel like most people have 2-3 fittings! They'll do the first round of alterations and then see how everything looks and fits. You certainly don't need to have more fittings if everything fits well!

I was told I'll have at least two (less than a month until my dress is here!). I have big hips and a small waist, so I had to order a dress that is 2-3 sizes too big on top, but perfect on bottom. The first appointment will be just to take in the top and they won't work on hemming or anything else until the second appointment when the top is the right size.

When I went in for my first fitting after the dress came in she only has to shorten the straps and add a bustle, so probably will be taking it home in May when I go back in when she is done with that.

I had 2. First from the waist up. Second the bustle.

I had 1. I had it taken in 2 inches on both sides, a 10 point bustle added, straps added, and about 5 inches of length taken off the bottom. When I came back a month later, everything was perfect. I had my alterations done at DB. They called the appointment to pick up the dress my 2nd alterations appointment. My BMs came and learned to bustle the dress and I took the dress home that day.

I had my first fitting in February to discuss bustle, hem and pin some places in the bust. I go back in about two weeks for a second fitting to see how it all fits. Final fitting will be when I pick it up (unless there is an issue at the second fitting)
