Disabled Parent

My father is in a wheelchair. My mother is 70 years old. Shes been sick forever but is still mobile unless her arthritis flares up. She's not as big of a concern to me than my dad. It's been a little rough to find a place for an indoor ceremony and we have to do this across the state to accommodate him. The place we fell in love with has an option for an outdoor ceremony and we don't mind having it outdoor but we are concerned about my dad going down the aisle. I am trying to figure out about renting a flat surface for an aisle or like a dancefloor on the greens so pushing him through the lawn isn't a hassle. I just don't know what other options to try and do or what else to think of. So I was wondering if anyone else had any ideas and/or have to accommodate a disable parent or very elderly family members?

Hi Kathleen, Have you checked with your venue to see what they say? they may have had the same situation before and know what to do.

I actually did talk to them about it and they have never been asked that but did write it down in my profile about looking into it. We haven't officially booked our venue (we just looked at 6 of them yesterday and fell in love with the one I originally fell in love with when I first started looking) since we want to make sure this is what we can afford, want, if it works for us, etc but like I said, everywhere that we looked is outside and haven't found something that's not a church or chapel setting in the area.

It sounds like the indoor area may not be set up for disabled people. Is there even enough room for the chair. Could your dad wait for you and maybe have a brother walk you down and then give you to your father the rest of the way
