Dirt floor...help!

Jordan, on August 9, 2016 at 10:58 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 5

Considering having our wedding/reception in a family barn...BUT it's a dirt floor! I really love the setting but am concerned about the floor of the barn which is entirely dirt. Any ideas on how we might cover that to make it less "dirty"?

I've seen some rental places that rent floors, I guess the same mechanics that they use when putting a floor under a tent venue or dance floor.

Very good off you to consider your guest me and the dirty floor

What's the rest of the barn like? I would guess it's pretty dirty. As a guest, I would not be pleased.

Definitely rent a dance floor. I think something to cover the entire thing would be nice... wouldn't want my feet in dirt while eating dinner. But I can't think of what would be large enough (unless you are just having a small wedding)

Hire someone to clean out the bar, the lay down wood chips or saw dust, and a dance floor

We will definitely be looking into a dance floor. The barn is just really big and I think it might be a good idea to have something to cover the other areas as well.

The barn as a whole is not "pretty dirty". It was a professional horse barn- family business so kept very clean. Since the business is now elsewhere it is only used to store farm equipment.
