Dinnerware/cutlery

Taylor, on April 27, 2021 at 1:31 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 7

Hello lovelies, I need help!

Since we cancelled our venue and were getting down to the wire with our DIY backyard wedding, my newest dilemma is what to use for dinnerware.

I am in a toss up for finding budget friendly options. I want to go with paper for the cheaper price point but my head is saying no for the fact that is is my wedding and I do want things to look nice but on a budget.

Has anyone had good luck with the disposable plastic dinnerware? Pros/cons?! Where is a good place online/in-store to look or purchase?

Is paper route the better option due to better pricing/generally more per package?

If you have used plastic before, options are greatly appreciated, even for paper dinnerware too! Smiley shame

I liked the options from Oriental Trading, though ultimately we had someone treat us to bamboo paper plates. I’m not sold on the look- but they’ll be covered with food and they’re free.
We’re doing a backyard DIY too 🤗 6/6. It’s crazy stressful but I keep reminding myself that at least I don’t have to bring anything anywhere and if I want to change I have my closet on hand lol

I would go for the heavy duty Chinet plates and heavy duty plastic silver ware from Costco.

We are renting china and silverware from a lock Rental place. It was actually super cheap and we just have to rinse and return on Monday.

I agree with this! Rentals are less expensive than you think. We do this for all family events like Thanksgiving. Rinse clean and count then done! Most rental places also have chairs, stemware and linens too. I would check out rental companies in your area.

Do agree with this. Renting is nearly always cheaper.
