Dilemma!!!

Shireen, on September 10, 2019 at 10:08 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 13
My original colors were white, black, and gold but now that I picked my dress and it is ivory (the color I wanted) the headpiece I wanted is silver...shouldnt it be gold instead since the dress is ivory and gold is one of our colors?

Gold would look good, but then I don't see a problem with mixing silver and gold together.

Your accessories don't have to be the same colors and your decor.

I agree with PP’s that while it would look nice if the headpiece was gold, you can mix metals & not have your headpiece be part of your wedding colors.

Totally cool to have silver--it'll go a bit more with your dress/accent the ivory! Plus, mixed metals are very in right now.

I have the same colors and also ended up with an ivory dress. The beading on my dress reads more silver, so I thought forcing the gold in would seem off. I was a little worried about it at first, but my friend pointed out that it will help me stand out from all of the gold tones decor (especially since my bridesmaids are in gold.) Like someone else mentioned, metal mixing is “in” currently so I think you'll be fine.

Shireen you can mix the metals especially if you like the silver better. Either way you will look fabulous. Enjoy your big day!

Mixing metals is very common right now. Besides, you don't want to blend in with your decor you want to stand out! Smiley heart
