My fiance and I found a beautiful venue, and the owner is lucky it's gorgeous. He is a boar to work with so far. He prioritizes his preferences over ours and has made us question ourselves every step of the way. Instead of being accommodating to our very feasible and few requests, he openly makes us feel as if we are an inconvenience to him.
He is slow to respond to emails, but was VERY quick to cash the deposit check after pressuring us to commit, saying there was another bride interested.
Our biggest concern right now is that his words do not match the contract we've since signed with him. His website says that chairs and tables are included in our rental price, but he says that if we do not use his "preferred" (not exclusive!) caterer, we must pay for the chairs and tables that are already there, among other similar issues. A lot doesn't match!
I fear he will cancel our event if we challenge him. He isn't making it easy. How do we hold him to HIS contract and no more?????
