Different Tables?

Sophie, on November 24, 2019 at 2:15 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 12

Hi everyone! I am trying to figure out the extra tables we'll need at the wedding besides dining tables. I have 2 different ideas:

Idea 1:

Welcome table with drinks, welcome sign, Polaroid guest book, card box, and place for gifts

Escort card table

Cake table

Idea 2:

Welcome table with drinks, welcome sign, card box, and a place for gifts

Polaroid guest book table

Escort card table

Cake table

What do you think? What did you do for your tables? Any recommendations? Thanks!

I like Idea 2. That way everything can have their own space and be less confusing for guests!

I did something more like #1 except I had servers greet each guest with champagne as a welcome drink. I used a long rectangular table to put the guest tree sketch, card box, and a place for gifts.

We had several different tables and some of them were moved throughout the night or reused.

Sand Ceremony - displayed at the front of the ceremony and was decorated with rose petals

Gift & card table - at the ceremony there was a table set up for the gifts and cards then they moved the table during cocktail hour and they used this table to also display the escort tables then they moved the table into the ballroom for the gifts and cards during the reception

Guestbooks (2 jerseys) and message in a bottle - they were displayed one round table in the middle of the cocktail hour space underneath one of the large chandeliers once cocktail hour was over this table was re-purposed for the favors

Laptop - we had a video created with photos of us growing up so we had a laptop set up on a table near the entrance of the ballroom and the video played on an endless loop for guests to watch

Candy Bar - long rectangular table

Cake - it was wheeled out when it was time to cut the cake

Flip flops - we purchased baskets that we filled with flip flops for anyone that might have wanted to change into for comfortable shoes. the plan was to just set up at the edge of the stage that the DJ was set up, but our venue set up a table at the end of the dance for to display the flip flops instead

For the guest book Polaroid table it can even be on a much smaller table

That’s a great idea! I’m definitely going to ask my caterer if they can pass out drinks instead of having them on the welcome table. Thank you!

This is beautiful, and I love the idea of repurposing tables for different uses throughout the night. Love your signs, too. Thank you so much!

I love the idea of having servers hand out drinks as guests arrive. Did any of you do a memorial table to honor those you may have lost?
