Different color bridesmaids dresses to groomsmen ties

I think it's ok if the men's ties are a diff color. My bridal party were in pink dresses but I had the groomsmen ties be green.

Do you have pictures? I think I would rather them be a completely different color versus so close it just looks like I tried and failed lol.

Have you considered tan or blush bowties for them?

So it's not groomsmen with a different color but I definitely think this looks good together. It is perfectly ok for the colors to go but not match. My niece's colors were orange and a pretty teal. The bridesmaids wore orange and the groomsmen wore teal. Sounds weird but it looked incredible.

I was a bridesmaid in my friends wedding and we had the same dress color. She just had the guys wear black bow ties. I have a picture so you can see!

I actually prefer it when ties are a different color or have a pattern on them, looks less promy.

I actually prefer when BP members aren’t so matchy- matchy, I feel like it looks a little more sophisticated and a little less “high school prom” So I would just get them ties in a coordinating color, blush and Chianti look beautiful together.

We used TieBar and the ties we got were like $19 each. I think my friend used TieMart, and those were even cheaper. Maybe like $10 each? I could check both places out! They both have a lot of options.

My bridesmaids are wearing purple dress and the groomsmen will have dark gray ties. I think as long as the colors look nice together you don't need to do the matchy matchy prom thing.

Hi! Our dresses are “Sienna” from Dessy which is very similar to the Chianti color from DB. We went with burgundy ties for the groomsmen and are getting married in Oct. I hope this helps! But I think any other color (or even patterns) in the same dusty mauve color palette will work for you. Good luck!

I don't think they need to match perfectly. If the two colors complement each other then I think it could work well. The groomsmen at my wedding will wear the same color ties, but I'm not sure yet whether they will have anything to do with the color of the maids' dress.

Our groomsmen are wearing different color ties and they look very nice together. My girls are wearing Steel Blue and I didn't like MW's match- the satin and the chiffon are totally different.
