What are the groomsmen and BM's wearing? What style is your dress? The degree of formality should be the same.

    What is your color palette?

I don't have pictures but the groom and groomsman are wearing the same Dark Gray suits. The difference is the groom will wear a black shirt and tie underneath the jacket and the groomsman are wearing a white shirt. He will stand out but not be completely different from the rest.

FH is wearing a dark blue suit and his groomsmen are wearing light gray suits. What are your colors? What color are the bridesmaids wearing?

Well, does he want to look different? I ask because you mentioned that’s what YOU want. His preference is something to consider too. I asked my FH if he wanted to stand out and he said “no” to all of my suggestions. So, he’s wearing what the others are and I respect that.

If your FH is into standing out, you can always go with a different tie, a different color jacket or suit/tux, a different boutonnière, a pocket square, etc. I personally like a tux with a white jacket and black pants. Or a coordinating color suit/tux (like navy for groom if GM are wearing grey or vice/versa).

Lol! Yeah he wants to look a little different. Our bridesmaids are mismatched colors - gray, plum , wine, blush. We’re dressed im not sure the correct classification of our level of formal. My dress is a fuller a-line my bridamaids are all in long gowns. he could do a suit instead of a tux but it would also fit to wear a tux. Maybe I’ll just have him look at the exact same suit but different tie?

My FH is going to do a charcoal suit and the groomsmen/my bridesman are going to be in a lighter shade of gray for the suit. Same color tie and accessories (lavender/lilac).

They are all wearing light gray tuxes with white shirts, ties and pocket squares. The only difference will be the FH and RB will be wearing bowties while the other guys will be wearing standard ties.

Our GMs wore solid navy blue tuxes, and my H wore the same pants and vest, but his jacket had black lapels instead of blue. So it was a subtle difference, not a huge one.

At my sister's wedding, the GMs wore gray tuxes, and her H wore a gray dinner jacket with black pants instead of the gray head to toe.
