Did you invite EVERYBODY or just close fam and friends?

We're only inviting immediate family (parents and siblings) and a handful of our closest friends.

We are newly moved to S. Florida from Northeast Ohio. That's where all our family/friends are. Lots of them can't/won't travel so we have a good mix of family and friends, a few co-workers. If we were getting married back home...our guest list could have easily topped 250-300. Here in Fla we're at about 80. Much better!

We're only inviting close family (no one past our cousins/aunts/uncles) so mostly friends, and several people who are friends of my parents or FH's. other people who we've known for a long time.. we're actually inviting our high school drama teacher (and she's coming) because she was a great mentor to both of us and was really involved with us (directing all the plays etc) when we started dating. we don't see her much now because so far away.

We actually sat down with each of our families, added names to a list, and asked them to rank each couple/family/guest on a scale of 1-5. We gave each of the families a certain number of invites, and then added in our friends.
