Did you book a Groomsmen Suite?

Joy, on September 16, 2014 at 1:02 AM Posted in Planning 0 11

Hi Ladies, Did you book a groomsmen suite for your FH and GMs? There is a sale right now at a nice hotel for regular 2 bed room, or we can spend twice as much for a suite. I was wondering if the groomsmen used the space much, or would a regular hotel room be fine? Our limo is picking up at noon with our ceremony at the church at 2:00 pm. My FH is taking them to breakfast before hand, then they are showering in their own rooms. They then would meet at my FH room for getting ready photos. I'd love to know what you all did and what you recommend!

We booked a room for the boys and a room for the girls. The night before the wedding, we ordered pizza and brought champagne and all hung out together in one room. At bed time, the girls and I stayed in one room, and Andre and the boys stayed in the other. We booked both rooms for two nights so that on wedding day we had somewhere to get ready without getting kicked out at check out time. We had a bridal suite as part of our venue package so we gifted the two rooms to our bridal party for wedding night.

    Yes we did.

We both stayed at the hotel the night before. I made sure we each got separate suites. It was so worth it. They needed the extra room... I think there were 8 of them getting ready...plus people like his mom kept going back and forth between rooms. A normal sized room wouldnt have been enough space to move around in.

We didn't. The guys each got ready on their own and showed up to the church ready to go.

We will be booking extra rooms. We are planning on having an after party and the day after going to the beach so it will be convenient. We will do it as a gift for the bridal party.

We aren't doing this either. The night before the wedding FH, our girls and I are staying in a cheap motel in the area then in the morning we are heading to the resort to set up and decorate. We can't check into the resort until 3 so at 3 I am going up to our suite to get ready and FH is going to the "cabin" that we are renting for his Bestman (uncle) and Groomsman (cousin) and their families to get ready.

Our venue (a hotel) gives us a bridal suite. I'm actually letting FH and his guys have that because they can get in at 12 (ceremony starts at 2) but they will be in a regular hotel room before then. Me and the girls will be dressing in my Matron of honor's room. I think it's cool for them to be together like the girls =)

Right now I have a suite reserved for the wedding night and the night before. But because I think I will be doing all the prepping and primping at my mom's house that morning and think that I will either cancel the room because I will stay at her house so I will give FH the option of using that room or will cancel it for the night before.

Similar to Alanna, our venue is a hotel and provided both a bridal suite and groomsmen suite.

I wish we could but actually the GM and FH will be at our house getting ready, its ig enough and that way they dont have to stress. The girls and i will be at a hotel getting ready and then we will go to the venue with a bridal room to put on the dress etc.
