Feed the ones who are there all night, but ask your venue if they have a vendor meal price.

Tell your venue/caterer how many vendors there are. Their meals should cost less because it should not include alcohol.

If someone is going to be at your event for more than four hours, I would suggest feeding them. Our reception (including cocktail hour) is 5 hours. The DJ will get there before everyone else to set up and will be there after everyone else packing up. They deserve to eat. Likewise, with your photographer, wedding coordinator, etc. Ask your venue if they provide special prices for vendors.

We had to include ours in the final count. We have to feed three, as they will be there till at least 9pm. It's also stated in their contract that we feed them. No vendor pricing....

My caterer provides a vendor meal that is a fraction of the cost of the guests meal. We are providing a hot meal to all vendors, but it's not the same options as the guests are receiving. Check with your caterer to see what their policy is on vendor meals.
