Did more rsvp online or mail ?

lindseybee89, on March 19, 2018 at 3:57 PM Posted in Planning 0 10
I am sending out my RSVPs this week, we have the option to rsvp online or send back by mail ( we addressed and stamped the return envelope).
Did anyone else do both options ? Did more people do traditional way or use the wedding website ?

Mine were all online- either by website RSVP or by email. However, as a guest I always take the online RSVP route.

Since you've already printed your RSVP cards, it's probably too late but for anyone else who hasn't, I highly recommend choosing one way or the other, not both options. You'd be shocked how much reasonably intelligent people get confused by these things.

We've gave the option for both - but our RSVP cards were postcards, which was a great idea!

Our deadline isn't till 4/12, but so far most of the RSVP's have been with the cards. Just a handful of friends have gone through our website.

I prefer RSVP cards because then I don’t forget. However, the last rsvp we were sent, I had to pay for the postage back (there was no online option) so I recently was a little bitter about the rsvp cards lol

As a guest, I'd find having both options to be confusing. Especially if you had taken the time to provided an envelope with a stamp on it. I'd feel bad for the stamp so I'd RSVP via mail and then check the website and probably RSVP there too ha.

WHY would people rsvp twice ? That sounds like silly. This is what our invite looked like.
We put stamps on our return envelopes

We only have one person who has RSVP'd online so far.

I sent self-addressed stamped envelopes and RSVP cards, as well an insert with the website information and stating you could RSVP there. I've heard back from 33/65 and every single one either called me or mailed the card back. No one has RSVPed online yet.

Haven’t sent invites yet, but when the time comes I’m going to give the option of an online RSVP in addition to a mail-in RSVP card in the invitation, just in case. We have a lot of friends our age who I can see being late on sending their response back in the mail and may find online RSVP more convenient😂 But then you have people like my mom for example, who last year completely forgot to respond to my cousin’s wedding invite until like the very last day (which is very unlike her, she’s usually on top of things), and thank goodness my cousin had the option to RSVP online because my mom did that for everyone in her house that was invited, then mailed the paper RSVP too on that day just in case! I feel like it’s a good backup option because even if someone decides to respond on the last day you specified, you don’t have to wait to get the card in the mail if they do it online.
