Did anyone have 100% RSVP and show up?

FutureMrs.Bailey, on May 31, 2017 at 5:14 PM Posted in Planning 0 10

My FFIL told us to expect that 15% of people won't be able to make it and some will RSVP and still not come, but did anyone experience actually having all the guests that RSVP come to your wedding/reception?

We had 10/112 RSVP no. However we haven't actually had our wedding yet so that can obviously change. I hope nobody no-shows

You should always expect 100% attendance. Also, I think that depends on the size of your guest list. If you're inviting 200 people, then you're more than likely to have a lot of people that cannot make it. However, if you're inviting 40 people, then you'll have more chances of 100% attendance, but always expect 100%

We had 100% RSVP. However, within a week before the wedding 5 that had RSVP as Yes called and let us know that wouldn't be coming after all. When we sent out invitations, there were some we knew would be No. But a few did surprise us, both ways.

We had all of our guests RSVP yes and then ended up having two no shows. One was our cousin's plus one and the other was my SIL (husband's brother's wife protesting our wedding because her husband wasn't asked to be in the bridal party even though she RSVP'd yes). Goes to show you can never assume what your guests will or will not do.

In reality we had about 10% decline or cannot attend out of the people we assumed would attend.

We had declines, but to answer the second half of your question, we had all 75 of the guests who said they were coming show up. There were no "no shows."

10% decline, with us. Only 1 no-show (parent's poor health in another country). All but one couple responded 10 days before our due date (online responses, through our wedding website).

86 were invited, 1 RSVP who declined. A couple of weeks b4 the wedding, a couple broke up (so hubs friend brought his twin brother in his exs place so that worked out), a good friend of mine didn't heal as fast as she thought from a big surgery, so she and her husband couldn't go. Other than that, the remaining guests who RSVP'd yes showed up....we had 0 no shows which was nice! :+)
