DHGate is a marketplace of independent Chinese wholesalers and drop shippers. When you buy through DHGate, you are buying from one of those sellers, although DHGate handles the transaction.

The challenge comes in the fact that many of those sellers are replica dressmakers who steal designs, use pictures without authorization, including pics that brides may post pics of themselves on social media. It comes down to a matter of ethics and if you are comfortable supporting a business with no ethics.

Most reputable wedding designers do not sell online.

I ordered a dress for my rehearsal dinner off of dhgate and it looks NOTHING like the picture. I’m so disappointed but I only spent $15 so I’m just calling it a loss.
I probably would not recommend them. Hopefully you have better luck.

I truly couldn't have said it better myself based off the replies above! You are ALWAYS taking a risk when purchasing anything online, especially formal wear! Have you been able to visit a bridal shop in person to get your exact measurements and see various materials/colors on your body?
