details card

What do I put on a details card if I am not blocking out hotel rooms for guests? The invites I am going to order are a set: invite, rsvp card, and details card. Do I just put directions?

I put directions on mine. Less than the minimum number of rooms required for a hold needed a hotel so we didn't block any off.

You could put directions, list your website (if you have one), info about a morning after brunch (if you're doing one), or anything else guests might need to know. You could also just omit the card, it's not necessary. Or, if the card is small enough to fit in the rsvp envelope, you could also make it something like "Advice/well-wishes for the couple" and your guests could fill it out and return it with their rsvp.

You could still put hotels in the area even if you didn't block any out. That way they know what's closest to your venue. Do you just not have a lot of OOT guests?

ETA: Make them your thank you cards? I don't know if thats doable.

I put the address to the reception venue and a link to our wedding website (where directions were listed).

We are not doing a detail card at all. We have the info on our website & a link included on the invite. May not be popular; but an option...

Why aren't you doing a hotel block?

Our details card includes attire, not to arrive prior to half an hour before the ceremony start time, buffet style dinner, and wedding website. Then, on our website I have the accommodations, venue directions, and menu.

I put hotel suggestions, our wedding website, gift registry, any dietary requirements and directions.
