Detail Meeting

We had our details meeting two months prior to the wedding. This is when we completely finalized table settings, linens, room layout, and our menu.

Following I was wondering the same thing!

That is when my venue coordinator recommended as well. We have scheduled yet but we are thinking end of June early July for our September wedding

We just had a details meeting with our venue but all we did was decide on some linens, set the menu and discuss things like what time we would be getting to the venue, if we wanted a sweet heart table and secure the date for our rehearsal our DOC told us everything else would be handled around the two month mark.

Our coordinator is having us do ours this month!

Ours was 2-2.5 months prior. We planned the decor, room layout, menus, etc. then I had a conference call with the DOC 1 month before.

I'm also a September wedding gal... we were supposed to meet this past Sunday. But a busted water line and the need for some major property work forced me to cancel and reschedule. Don't have a new date yet but I imagine it will be in the next week or so.

I think this initial meeting was to go over general parameters and preferences, then another meeting would be scheduled closer to the event once we had nailed down other details.

Our wedding is September 1 and the venue said we need to do this in June, but earlier would be okay. I’m feeling pretty good about details now, so I scheduled it for two weeks from now. They’re very accommodating of little things change, but need to know the menu and table set up.

I’ll add that we are also most likely setting up a very brief meeting for the week before for last minute things. But it’s not a big deal for us since it’s local.

Our wedding is dec 1, and our venue said 8-10 months prior, so we did it March 8. It was super helpful, and because of it, everything has been planned and is stress free.

Another September wedding - our details meeting is going to be in July.

Early August wedding- meeting was last week of March. It was very helpful and now I know exactly what I need to finish planning!

We did our meeting at the 6 month mark , but this was because we live in CA and wedding is in NY, so we did all oue "in person" meetings in one weekend. And also because I wanted a clear set plan well enough in advance to keep my own things organized and be on the same page about price etc well ahead of time!
