Detached sleeves

Has anyone worn sleeves that aren’t attached to anything? How do you keep them on your shoulders?!

My dress is spaghetti strapped(thin) and I wanted to get some sleeves to wear during the ceremony but didn’t want it altered so they’re detachable if I could just get away with wearing them and taking them off.

Every dress I've tried on with detachable sleeves either clipped or buttoned in to the inside of the dress. They should stay on just fine unless they're too small.

How about a bolero or wedding jacket: bolero, David's Bridal ? Or a topper: Etsy topper.
Here are options for "sleeves" by Pronovias, but am unsure how they connect: Pronovias. A cape or veil can also cover your arms if that is your intent.
