Detachable tulle skirt - thoughts?

I have not but I wanted a detachable skirt to turn it into a shorter dress but went against it

The girl who was trying on dresses next to me picked a dress with a detachable skirt. She was rocking the dress.

I'm having a tulle skirt made for my dress! I originally wanted a tighter fitted dress so when I bought my wedding dress I loved it. After a few months I sort of regretted not getting the princessy tulle I thought I'd like. I ended up going to a seamstress that is also doing my alterations for my dress and talked to her about a detachable skirt and she's currently making it for me. It's a little added expense but I loved the top of my dress too much to go find a totally new dress, plus I liked the idea of being able to take it off if I decided I don't want to wear it for the reception.

I love this option! (pretty dress too) Gives you two totally different looks and variety in your photos. I changed into a non-bridal reception outfit but otherwise I may have looked into this option because I would want princess wedding and then sexy/fun reception.

I’m doing this! Will be wearing the tulle overskirt for the ceremony and the rhinestone belt for the reception!

I saw Azazie just came out with a detachable skirt wedding dress

I think it’s a great option for the bride who really wants 2 dresses, but it doesn’t necessarily fit into their budget. The picture you posted is really nice. I would ask a local bridal salon if there is a designer that does this.

Thanks! I bought the two separate pieces! The dress is Allure and the skirt is Watters!

I did this and absolutely love it! I’m wearing the tulle skirt for the ceremony and the fitted one for the reception.
