Destroy the Dress editorial photos??

Hi!

So rather than getting engagement pics taken, 3 months after the wedding we're going to fly out to Colorado Springs to take pics in nature IN OUR WEDDING ATTIRE. I've always wanted to have editorial style wedding photos, mimicking what you see in magazines and stuff. I think this will be a better way to honor my dress than simply preserving it right after.

Has anyone done this? Did you regret it?

I'll attach pics of me trying on the dress (it won't have a train) and some inspo pics.

Are you doing a destroy the dress or are you just going for a different photoshoot?
The year we got married a few of my husband's childhood friends got married in other countries and we couldn't attend. We met in Argentina this past December and reserved a private beach house. We all got into our wedding attire and trashed our dresses! We all had a bonfire afterwards and we all threw our dresses in. The guys hucked their ties in because their suits could be cleaned. We didn't do a photoshoot but had a ton of fun. I would really recommend it!!

Kinda both? As in, I fully expect the dress to get muddy and or torn in the process, but I want these amazing pictures

Nooo we didn't think about it. We initially intended to just get together and decided at the last minute to go to the beach house. Honestly we looked like drowned rats after maybe a minute it wouldn't have been the most flattering photoshoot. I'm super super excited to see if you do this! You'll have to do a BAR (Back and Ruined!)

Our photographer offered this as an add-on "adventure session". I low-key regret not doing it because his photos always come out gorgeous!

I’ve always loved “trash the dress” sessions, so beautiful! Ethereal dresses against a wild backdrop, even floating on the water, I love them all.
I can’t do that to mine since I’m having it dyed and transformed into a renaissance festival gown to wear every year to the ball. I absolutely would’ve had a session like yours if I could! I hope it’s absolutely magical.

This is such a neat idea ?!!!! I never thought about this . I guess I’d be Nervous about my dress getting messed up and so youre ok with him seeing your dress before the wedding then right

I used pieces of my mother & grandmother's dress in our wedding, so I was really happy she had kept both of them for me to have.
