Destination weddings tend to be more inconvenient and expensive for guests. Because of that, do you feel there should be more ”extras” provided for guests? If you were a guest at a destination wedding (or have been a guest at a DW in the past), what things would be/were most important/memorable to you? Are there any extra touches you would/did really enjoy? Any certain “extras” you expect from a DW? What was your favorite part about attending a DW?

For those of you planning a destination wedding… what extra things are you doing for your guests to make your event extra special/meaningful for them?

For the welcome bags, I’d do something like
    2-4 bottles of waters
Pretzels, crackers, popcorn or something saltySmall package of almonds or granola barSomething sweet: bag of cookies, chocolate trufflesMaybe a piece of fresh fruit
No fancy bags, paper is fine. Nothing with your wedding date on it or gimmicky, waste of money.

This one doesn't count as a destination wedding i would say... it is more so that i had to travel there out of state.

anyway, i will say it IS inconvenient especially now during a pandemic. it adds up in your costs as a guest. but i will say that it can be nice for people who enjoy making a trip out of it
