Destination Weddings--getting the Dress There--tips?

Anyone doing a destination wedding or did one have any tips on how to bring the dress there? I got a box from Foster-Stephens, but am worried it's still a bit too big to carry-on (it's 20 x 17 x 7 or 44 linear inches). Open to suggestions or tips. Destination wedding kit

    Yeah I can't carry it on, so going to mail it ahead of time and pick it up there. I'm bringing my dinner dress just in case! Smiley smile
