Agreed! We actually rescheduled our June 13th Cancun Wedding to August 19th. (We didn't want to push it too far back in case of a second wave. Fingers crossed we get to keep our new date).

We're have a hotel block at Dreams Sands Cancun, but our actual venue is called Ocean Weddings. It's a private venue and its so perfect right next to the beach. When we tried negotiating with the resort they kept saying everything was partially private and it was super hard getting them to stay within a decent budget. But then I found Oceans and never looked back. I was able to stay within my budget and got way more included than the resorts could have matched. (With all the resort add ons it can get costly) Check them out! And the wedding planner there Bertha is incredible.

We are staying at Rui Palace in Cancun & surprisingly we found a planner through Destify and she’s been amazing too. She literally handles everything and even created our website so our loved ones can RSVP and book their rooms right from the website.
I think everything will be under 10K

View Quoted Comment We were going to stay at Hotel Xcaret in Mexico for our honeymoon because we had to cancel our Italy one that we had originally planned. But now just we decided to try again postpone our honeymoon and try again for next year to go to Europe and upgrade our room for our wedding. We both work in schools so the summers really are the best times for us.

We were planning a destination wedding in St.John, USVI for April 2021 but with COVID....it’s been hard to get ahold of vendors and everything right now. We’ve put planning on hold for now. I have the invitations but I’m scared to send them out.

I don't have a top three I'm all over the place (lol) and it's so hard to narrow down a place. I'm exhausted just from the research, but thank you for your recommendation!
