Destination Wedding with Fiances divorced parents

RJ220, on November 6, 2013 at 4:19 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 4

My fiances parents are divorced and some of the family members do not get along and I have decided to have two hotel options for all guests since splitting families into hotels would cause problems regarding myself and my fiance. Thoughts?

YEARS ago my parents were having issues and threatened to divorce. I told them I'd support their decision in whatever they did, but if got nasty I wouldn't see either of them until they could at least be civil.

If his family can't do the same, threaten them with not being invited. It's time to act like a damn adult for someone they mutually love.

I have nine parents now, and I am offering four different hotel options, two cheap and two not. If the kids can't get along for your wedding then it shows that they're kids, not adults, and don't stress for five seconds over their drama. But yes, telling one side that hotel A is their best bet and vice versa is a safe plan.

I agree with "Out the window"... this should be a non issue for you!
