Dessert

Personally, I wouldn't have a cake for just you and FH that isn't available to everybody else. Perhaps you could do an assortment of small cakes instead of donuts and cupcakes?

We are also doing just a cake to cut and donuts for guests. Whoever you are ordering from will be able to give you a number. The place we are doing donuts recommends 1- 1.5 donuts per person so we will be getting 2 per person with a handful of extras just in case (but really for us to take home, because these things wont last long lol)

We are! We are ordering a small, 1 tier cutting cake for pictures. Then we will have a variety of mini cupcakes, cookies, chocolate covered strawberries, and cannolis. They told us to plan on 2.5 bites per person since they are mini desserts.

We did something like this. We had a cake that was "enough" for about half of our guests. Ordered a few dozen cupcakes from the same bakery, and then friends and family volunteered to bring in a few baked dishes to "fill in the gaps." I'll tell you what though - even with cake to serve half of the guests, we STILL ended up taking cake home and begging our guests to box up some leftover desserts lol

We did something kinda like you! We did 400 desserts (167 people in attendance) we had a small cake for cutting, still served if people wanted it. Otherwise we had cake pops cookies cupcakes and pudding/cheesecake shooters! The guests loved it!
