Dessert Table

Scarlet, on September 13, 2019 at 8:11 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 2 31

Hey guys!

We're doing a dessert table, but I'm having a hard time picking the last dessert. So far we have cake, cookies and I can't decide what else. We were thinking about pie or donuts, but I feel like that would require more work than I want. lol Also, if you guys might have pictures of what you dessert table might've of looked like... Could you post a picture? Our theme is rustic. TIA!

Mini cheesecake bites, brownies, mini cannolis, buckeyes, lemon bars

These are some of the suggestions I made to my mom since she's volunteering to make a dessert table for us!

We went with mini pies!! It was A TON of work, and we made too many lol. But they were worth it!! Everyone loved them!! We also had brownies, coconut macaroons, four different types of cookies, and meringues.

I love the idea of having donuts! You could also do pudding, mini pies, cake pops, Rice Krispie treats, or churros!

That doesn't sound too bad! How many were in attendance? We're inviting ( I think about 150) We're hoping we get max 100 lol We're trying to figure out how much what each dessert we should get.

Since I don't do a lot of sweets I would enjoy some kind of lemon bar or something with tang vs sugar and frosting.

We didn't have a dessert table, but we had a candy bar and our favors were cake pops. We also had a traditional wedding cake. Everyone loved both. We had considered doing a smores bar, but with all the other desserts we decided not to.

We had exactly 100 in attendance and had leftovers!! So I really should’ve bought less. But that’s ok.

Cupcakes were the biggest hit at our wedding.

We had a cutting cake, 3 flavors of cupcakes, mini brownies, cookies, and a mini peach pie.Dessert Table 8

You could totally use sprinkles for something else though! Maybe sprinkled on the plates with cookies or something on top?

We’re doing cupcakes, key lime pies and chocolate covered strawberries. We’ll be in Key West which is why the key lime pies work. But we thought the option of a fruit desert would break it up a little for those who don’t want a pastry.

Not the best pictures but my husband built the dessert tier and I stained it for our assorted desserts. So sad I didn't get to try any of it.

For our desert table there’s going to be; chocolate semi naked cake with vanilla buttercream, vanilla cupcakes with strawberry buttercream, red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing (obviously!!), “inside” s’mores (graham crackers, Nutella, and marshmallow cream), and my mom is making banana pudding.

Donuts would be cool! Lemon bars or mini tarts would be so cool!
