Check with any vendors you have booked and see what dates they have open and see if you can move your date up. I personally would want to make sure I was married and back from honeymoon at least a month before he left to make sure the license was filed and I had to time to get all of my things in order aka name change. Thank you both for your service!

I agree with Sherry. I would see if vendors would be willing to work with you due to your situation and allow you to move your date up. I wouldn’t want to postpone.

My fiance gets deployed in Novemeber. We decided to move ours up due to training. When deploying, units often do a ton of training prior to the actual deployment. My fear is that the Army would not approve his leave despite the circumstances. I also know in the Marines, they are offered pre deployment leave but they often don't know exact dates until they get closer to the actual deployment. Again, it may be hard to plan a wedding that is cutting it too close.

Definitely check with your vendors to see if it’s able to be postponed or maybe even moved up to a different date . The vendors should be open to a change due to the circumstances

They tried to deploy my husband and thank God he had a contract that they couldn’t deploy him until summer 2020. But if he hadn’t gotten out of it we were going to have the wedding sooner. We’d already been engaged for a year and I wasn’t going to wait any longer.

I don't want to want even longer now either but I am afraid that I won't have enough time to do everything accordingly. Bless you and your husband for the service !

Unfortunately my fiance also has a couple of weeks of training at the end of July before the deployment and if I move it up I don't know what month to do. It feels as if I have no time. Thanks for the info and for the service !
