I have and my FH is a diamond status member. They're....alright? I dunno what else to tell you. They're like almost all airlines. Some people hate them, some people love them.

I LOVE Delta! I fly several times a year for work and Delta always has the best experience. They work really hard to not have to cancel flights, have good employees, and the best cookies Smiley smile

I'm terrified to fly. But they are the cheapest. I didnt want to book a *cheap* flight and get a "you get what you pay for, shoulda flown SouthWest" deal

Pretty much all the major carriers are the same, it seems. It depends more on airport than anything else if you're concerned about delays and cancellations.

I almost exclusively fly Delta. TBH...I don't think there's a huge huge difference between the major airlines like Delta, United, AA, etc. However, you will notice a difference if you fly one of the budget airlines like Southwest over one like Delta. But overall they are all the same. You're crowded in with a ton of other people, you don't have leg room, and you basically feel like cattle. Limited free drinks and snacks.

For our honeymoon we're flying to Europe so FH and I paid extra to "upgrade" to the Economy Comfort seats. You basically get 4 inches of extra legroom, and can also lean your seat back further. I flew in a Boeing 767 for my last flight and it was actually mostly comfortable. You have a lot more legroom in a 767 than you do in a 737, but for a 9 hour flight I wanted to be sure we had the maximum amount of space that we could afford so that's why we got the Economy Comfort.

I have flown Delta multiple times. They tend to have some of the better prices, and while I've had some delayed flights that is not exclusive to them. My favorite in the states is Jet Blue (they take really good care of you) and for international, probably Virgin Atlantic, British Airways, and Delta. Depends on where you're going. If Delta is the best cost and most convenient, I would recommend it.

Omaha to Vegas with a stop in Denver both ways. $672.40 total.

Does that sound high? (I've NEVER done this...)

I used Delta to fly to Hawaii once. It was fine! I personally like Southwest or United.

I'm a semi fan of Delta. The only issue I have is every flight I've ever flown with them has been delayed, so. :/ Big no-no to most!

Kayla, that cost sounds sort of normal, maybe a little bit higher than average but normalish. But I'm surprised you can't get a direct flight from Omaha to Las Vegas. I honestly prefer direct flights because it means less time spent wasted in the airport.

Have you ever checked out AirfareWatchdog? I used them to buy my tickets to a recent trip to Seattle. They'll send you daily updates on fares for your selected destination and date range. It may help you get an idea of normal fares and even help you get a deal. If you have time to wait before buying your tickets, I'd try checking them out for a week or two to see if you can get a better price.

The only thing I find with Delta (and this could just be my luck) is everytime I have used them they seem to be delayed.. Other than that the service is good. Not a lot of difference from the other carriers.

MN is now a Delta hub so we fly it a lot. We were Northwest before that...but Delta bought them. They are fine.

There is no right or wrong answer. I hate pretty much every airline at this point, but Delta hasn't been any worse than the others- Southwest is still my favorite. If it is the cheapest I am pretty sure you are good with them.

I travel a ton for work and have a bunch for vacations and while I have some delays with them, they are the most comfortable and nicest IMO. They always would try to compensate for lengthy delays with vouchers to try to make up for it and I always upgrade to their roomy seats. Not that I am expecting handouts but when you miss connections because of mechanical problems, a little bit goes a long way and was SUCH a big difference for me to always go back to them.

On the other hand, I will say I am not a fan of American Airlines. It always seems there are tons of delays, mechanical problems, just WEIRD problems that made us just sit on the runway for an HOUR (weight in the plane was off?? bathroom was flooding?!) and they were rude as hell about it to when I get stuck in an airport because of them Smiley sad

Southwest is ok for me. I used to LOVE them when I was younger but I prefer assigned seating.

Love Delta. Hubby and I just flew on Delta in August to Aruba. Enjoyed the free Wifi and monitors on the back of the seats. Was my first time flying on Delta and had no complaints Smiley smile

I feel like I have an extremely passionate hatred for Delta. I flew them round trip twice before from Seattle to JFK. They were terrible. From the front desk people down to the flight attendants. None of them knew what they were talking about, they were all rude and confused. My second round trip flight is when I vowed to never fly with them again is when I tried to check my bag in but no one was available, so I went to find someone and they sent me to another person. Then that person sent me to another person about 4 times. By the time I finally got to the right person (who coincidentally was the first person I spoke to), I was two minutes late for my check in time and they made me pay to switch my flight.

Then I worked in a hotel where we had a contract with Delta and we housed all of their pilots and flight attendants. I've never met people that were more rude than them. I can't even explain it and if I did, I would have a million stories. Like the time a flight attendant called me a bitch because we didn't have fridges in our room and another slapped my arm because her company didn't make her reserversation correctly. Plus at least 3-4 times a week I would have guests call me and ask if Delta had brought their luggage that they lost and said they would bring to the hotel if they found it. They were constantly losing luggage.

    End rant, haha.
