Yeah, that really sounds like a terrible idea, sorry. I wouldn't risk freezing for anyone's wedding, no matter how close we were. I don't think it's very kind to ask your friends and family to be out in negative degree weather just because you fancy the idea of an outdoor wedding in February, in Minnesota.

Just the ceremony “ we’re indoors for the 🎉 of course. It’s only family invited and honestly I don’t want many people to come it’s supposed to be very quick and very intimate ❤️

We're in Southern California and daughter's wedding was in January. We lucked out and it was 78 degrees, sunny and gorgeous, but if it had been 65 degrees or less, or windy, or rainy, or whatever, we would have used the venue's plan B and moved the ceremony inside. If you and your guests are all from MN, I assume you're all a bit tougher than we are, but I'd guess an outside wedding in February in Minnesota will be pretty darn cold and I would not want to sit outside. If guests will be uncomfortable and/or subject to weather-related risks, I would move the ceremony inside.

If you "don't want people to come," then don't invite them. Inviting them and potentially exposing them to uncomfortable/dangerous weather as a means of culling your guest list seems like a bad choice to me.

You asked the question, "Am I crazy it's Minnesota and we're going to have an outside wedding?" I responded to that, and although I'm a native Californian, I lived in New Jersey for 7 years and in central Illinois for a few years (including the only year the UofI closed due to weather in 170+ years), so my response is "yes, that seems like a bad choice." However, if your assumption is people will be fine sitting outside in February and you don't want them to come anyway, it sounds like an awesome idea....

You didn't ask for ideas though, you just kind of threw out there that you were getting married outside in negative weather?

Even if it's just the ceremony, it's going to be cold as hell. Taking that chance, no matter how short the ceremony or how short the guest list, just all-around won't lend itself to a pleasant experience. I'd always rather have peace of mind that everyone (including myself at my own wedding) is comfortable for such an important event.

We are having a huge fire “think game of thrones “
    Then inside reception
No one will. Be sitting ... it’s my mans wish and only thing he’s Asking for and we have a back up if it’s dangerous out obviously, but I’m kinda excited...

If possible you should check to see if the venue supplies outdoor heaters, or see if you can rent them! We will have some in place for our winter wedding in Michigan in case people want to go out to the patio during our reception!! You could also get some blankets and hot coffee or chocolate set up so people can stay warm! I would try and keep it under 15 though if you can.

Sorry but I wouldn’t be outside in that weather for more than 5 minutes for ANYONES wedding lol. Can’t you just find an indoor spot for the ceremony, maybe the same place where the reception is being held?

We are having our ceremony outdoors on February 29th in New Hampshire in the White Mountains! It’s going to be very intimate- only parents and a few very close friends. We also plan to keep it as short and sweet as possible. Everyone has been supportive of it. As long as you dress accordingly, it should be fine. Our cars will be right there so we can get in to warm up in between photos if necessary. Pictures will be beautiful!

Nope this is our special idea with a nature wedding in the cold, I know it’s not June but we’re wearing fur... lots n a huge bonfire. I want to take this post down - don’t know how everyone tells me how bad an idea it is - kinda sad

You can do that if you want to, but if I were you, I'd seriously consider the fact that so many people (who are strangers on the internet with no vested interest or stake in your wedding) are telling you that it's a bad idea... it may just be a bad idea.

Your wedding vision is never worth people's comfort or, honestly, well-being. It's pretty mean-spirited to have the attitude of "well this is our vision, we like GOT, so everyone's just going to have to deal with below freezing temperature for us."
