Decor to skip?

What decor are you skipping or, for the already married folks, wish you had skipped? I'm working on finalizing our decor scheme and am curious if we are cutting in the right places. - Aisle decor

- Minimal signage

- gift table decor (other than a nice table cloth and card box)

- cake table decor (pretty cake and stand should be enough)

Our venue is not fancy at all so I'm planning on a ton of decor to make it look pretty! But if you're venue is beautiful skip as much as you can

Not much decor for me, the lake and gardens are enough. I'll just be putting bows/tulle on the ends of the chairs down the aisle.

I skipped the aisle decor and any decor at the church. I believed that we didn't need any of it and I'm glad I stuck to that decision.

Our venue had some decor available for us to use, otherwise we would have skipped aisle decor and signs.

You can also skip bathroom baskets- it's an extra added expense that can easily be skipped. We skipped, and I think I've only been to one wedding that had them.

So here is why I am skipping decor. The ceremony will be on a landing in front of a huge stained glass window. The dinner will be in a very ornate room. Adding additional decor would be an unnecessary expense.

I didn't do aisle décor, center pieces at all... Ours was an outdoor wedding, and a bbq. I didn't do a cake table, or a gift table. We wanted a bbq, something extremely low key.

I decided to forgo ceremony aisle decor/ceremony chair decor. I originally wanted to do something simple and tasteful for aisle decor but as time went on i scratched it because the white chairs sitting beach front looked very elegant so adding anything more was really just a money pit at this point.

We are getting married in the Shenandoah Valley, so the view is the decoration. We ordered centerpieces and I ordered a lot. We are cutting our guest list, so I was thinking of keeping the original order amount and just putting the flowers on the guest book table, etc. We are having some signs, but not too many. There is already and arbor and I'll hang a horseshoe that my grandparents had in their house forever for good luck. I don't think we'll be doing aisle decor. The tent already has lights and tulle hung.

We skipped pretty much the same things you plan to. Our church decor was really simple but it stood out b/c of the uplighting. The lights changed everything. We did a table cloth for the unity candle, a pipe and drape backdrop and tons of uplighting. We did flowers at the end of the pews but no one even remembers them lol I would definitely have skipped them but they were about $25 from ebay so even those were not a major expense.

Our reception will be outside so we're just having centerpieces at this point because the view is beautiful enough. I'm planning on getting a sign/picture something for the table with the guest book and so far that's about it. I haven't figured out what I want for the ceremony yet but it's probably going to be minimal. The church we're using has this railing thing right where we're going to be standing so I might wrap it with white lights or something pretty.

We are skipping pipe & drape to cover the not-so-pretty walls and I am sad about it, but it just seems like a waste of $600+. If someone leaves my wedding thinking "such a pity the walls were ugly" then eff them.

For photo purposes, I am setting up a photography back drop frame and hanging fabric on it behind our head table.

We picked a venue that doesn't need a ton of decor. Skipping floral centerpieces (using non-floral borrowed items), signs, programs, favors, logos/monograms, cake topper, aisle decor, unneeded extra decor for guestbook/escort/cake tables.
