Decor Setup And Tear Down

Who is handling the setup and tear down of your wedding day decor (ceremony aisle decor, centerpieces, lighting, photo backdrops, etc)?

    The rental company I'm getting my furniture through is setting everything up and then tearing it back down, and I hired a DOC to coordinate all of that. My DOC has also said she can install florals on my arch if my floral order is too small for the company to do it for us!

    DOCs are lifesavers! I also booked a DOC, with one of the main reasons being that we needed help with setup and tear down. Very cool that your rental company is also setting everything up for you!

    I just booked her and I'm already completely in love. It's a sort of destination wedding so I really needed someone to give me a list of "yes, check out these vendors" and to meet my rentals so my family didn't have to. She's been so great already! Best decision I've made in this entire process.

    That is super helpful of your venue! And saves you a lot of time. Do you just let them know ahead of time where you want each decor item, and they'll take care of it? My venue will only setup the things that they provide (tables/chairs, tablecloths, place settings, etc), and we're on our own for centerpieces, backdrops, dessert tables, etc. So we ended up booking a DOC who will also help us with setup and tear down.

    We are having a destination wedding, so we are keeping outside decor to a minimum. The venue provides the tables, chairs, plateware, flatware, etc. We are renting linens, so the linen company will bring them and set them up. The floral centerpieces the florist will set up, and the baker will set up the cake. The only decor we will be bringing in are special chargers and napkins, candles for the tables, and lanterns to line the walkway, which the venue will set up and tear down for us. I figured all of those elements are extremely straightforward in where they go and how they are placed, so it would be difficult for them to mess it up LOL The only thing that will need my attention is ensuring the place cards are in proper order at the tables.

    My caterer and planner. I literally hired my planner because she was the only one that specified set up and tear down. Lol

    It's so awesome that so many venues will setup and tear down decor! Definitely helpful to the bride and groom. And totally makes sense why your florist is helping. I'd love to see pictures of how your arch and centerpieces turn out!

    That was one of the main reasons we booked a DOC too! Our venue sets up and tears down everything they provide (tables, chairs, etc), but they don't usually handle centerpieces, signs, additional lighting, etc, so we knew we'd need help with that. Awesome that you found someone who will assist with setup and tear down!
